Holiday Villa, Montgo Natural Park, Javea

Reviews

We have just returned from a really fantastic holiday at Villa Tejo. As a family of 6 (3 generations) we found that the villa had everything we could possibly need and it immediately felt like a real home. The inside kitchen and BBQ area were super and very well equipped, with a massive range of everything you could need. The rooms were very spacious and the downstairs studio was great for our 2 grown up grandchildren. The outside space was particularly good, with lots of areas that offered the option of sun and shade and the beautiful, very clean pool was a welcome relief from the hot weather. The villa was extremely clean and there had obviously been a lot of thought to ensure a smooth arrival. This included excellent documentation which was sent before we left the UK. Lindesay could not have been more helpful and was extremely efficient. We have been to this lovely area before and would certainly highly recommend Villa Tejo to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing break within easy reach of Javea.

We had a lovely holiday here. The villa is great, it’s exactly as described and has plenty of space, perfect for our family. The pool is a good size and plenty of outside seating for dinner or relaxing. The rooms are very comfortable, and the living area was great for relaxing at night. The villa is a short drive from the Arenal and old town and there are a few restaurants nearby that are nice. Lindesay was very helpful throughout the booking process and made it all very easy. If We were returning to javea we would love to stay here again.

We have not long returned from a 10 day holiday at Villa Tejo & we missed it as soon as we left. We have been staying in villas & self-contained accommodation all over the world for many years & this is without doubt the best equipped we have ever enjoyed. It has obviously been used a lot by the owners as it has absolutely everything we could have needed & was a real home-from-home. The list of things to wax lyrical about is a long one; we were there with another family in a total party of 9 with late teenage kids & our ‘best bits’ included the sheer space for us to spread out, the outdoor kitchen, having blinds & adjustable shades absolutely everywhere so you could always sit where you wanted to in the shade rather than having to move out of the sun, a great pool & garden, lots of parking, privacy & quiet & a wonderful, ever changing view of Mount Montgo behind the villa. It is close enough to pop to the shops in the car but also has a few really good restaurants close enough to walk to. We didn’t have any issues whilst we were there but shared some very minor observations largely for the owners’ information & even these were acted on immediately. The communication before, during & after our stay was exemplary. We’ve stayed in this area before but never walked up Mount Montgo. We did it this time – just over 4 hours round trip - & really enjoyed it for the great views & trying to spot Villa Tejo from the top (which we did). Just don’t do it when rain is threatened or in the heat of the day. We also ate in a number of Javea’s restaurants, mainly on the Arenal promenade. The villa has excellent local information including personal recommendations from the owners’ own experience which would have you eating in three different places every day for a two week stay & still not exhaust the list! All in all, we cannot recommend Villa Tejo highly enough. Enjoy!

Gorgeous home from home villa with everything you can possibly need. Set back at the foot of the Montgo you can get seclusion and quiet of a luxery villa but only minutes away from the busy Arenal with a great beach and restaurants!

Perfect, well equipped and well located villa. We are a family of 7 adults and 1 toddler who spent a week over Easter 2018 at this villa. The owner was extremely helpful and prompt. All the instructions were very helpful and much appreciated. The bedroom and bathroom configuration were ideal for us. The twin room and double room with kitchen and bathroom downstairs was a perfect arrangement for the toddler and his parents. It is extremely well equipped both onside and inside. We particularly appreciated the filtered water on tap, juicer, coffee machine and Netflix! There is a spacious well kept garden, plenty of space to eat or sit outside in the sun or shade. As it was only March, the pool heating was essential for us. We loved the location as it is very quiet but easy to get into Xabia and you can walk to several restaurants. We had a wonderful and very reasonably priced meal at Gauchos. The location suited all our group including the walkers, cyclists and those who needed a snooze by the pool. I do hope we can stay at this beautiful villa again in the future.

There were 9 of us holidaying here ranging from 6 - 82 years old. The villa is spacious and well equipped. Nice touches such as a Nespresso coffee maker, ice making fridge freezer, filtered watered tap. All the bathrooms are large and modern. The lounge is particularly lovely, bright and open, huge windows, superb aircon as it was boiling when we were there, equally you could tell it would be homely during a winter break. The naya is a lovely spot to sit in the evening. We recommend turning the sunloungers around to face Montgo - which is close up and fantastic, bring some binoculars and watch the hill walkers climb along Montgo's spine, my husband got up at 6am to walk it. The surrounding area was quiet, no noise from anywhere, very relaxing. The pool is lovely and the loungers were new and really comfortable, we found the outdoor kitchen really useful for drinks around the pool etc. It is a great base to zip straight into the old town within 5 minutes in the car, or a 5 minute walk from the family run Montgo restaurant, a walkable good restaurant was a huge bonus in our book. We highly recommend this villa

Great villa in a fabulous location. We really enjoyed our holiday. The property lived up to the description and more - a lovely 'home from home' in beautiful surroundings. Comfortable and well equipped and any queries were answered promptly by the owner. The villa offered perfect tranquility nestled under the stunning Montgo Mountain (an active challenge for the fit!). Spacious and welcoming, the accommodation provides good sized bedrooms as well as many delightful communal areas to suit all needs. A short car ride into Javea offers a bustling evening out with a great variety of restaurants and a lively nightlife. For a family / friends holiday this is the perfect base that offers something for all ages - we can't wait for a return visit!

We think that Casa Tejo, is a lovely property... set on the slopes of the Montgo, with all the facilities you need if you have kids, nice pool, with patio by the pool with a shaded area, where our kids chilled out. Outside and in side dinging areas, air con in the rooms, plus a great lounge with free sat TV. The out side terrace allows a view of the pool and a great spot for breakfast and coffee. there is also a BBQ area, with gas barbaecue, we were told not to use the wood BBQ as it was summer, and they are banned during the dry season. The rooms are great, with a private self contained annex, for grandparents, in our case.. There are around 4 restaurants , with in walking distance, The Montgo, is the best one for kids, and grown ups, and banker on your first night, if you have not order or brought food. We liked the Kitchen, had all you would want, including an ice maker ! Javes beach is 10 minutes drive, all low rise, and the old town is great for wonder around and Tapas. Probably not the best location for Teens, who might get bored easily.

Villa Tejo is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, the view from the swimming pool of the Montgo mountain as a backdrop to the villa is spectacular! The villa is only an 8 minute drive to to beach and old town and there are a couple of lovey restaurants nearby and a local supermarket with a Deli counter with organic produce. We spent a long weekend in the villa and it has everything you need, we enjoyed ourselves so much that we hardly left the place! We loved that the villa has so many places to hang out, including a comfortable terrace overlooking the gardens, an outdoor barbeque area, the pool and garden and the cozy livingroom with log fire! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Villa Tejo. Lindesay the owener is very kind and provided us with all the information we needed to get to the villa and to make us feel like we were at home. Thanks again, we can't wait to come back!!
